Stan & Joyce Orchard
Trying to figure it out since 1975.
Black Bunny
Our corner of the world has an abundance of plain, brown, short-eared rabbits. But this little guy hops to the beat of a different drummer, or thumper.
Happy Summer!
More fuzzy antlers and beautiful summer coat. This curious early morning visitor seemed to say happy first day of summer as he passed by.
Two Mile Walk
We hardly ever leave home, but we’ve been walking almost daily here. Today we stretched it out to a full two miles. She continues to amaze me.
Wildflower Explosion
The foliage along our road constantly changes. We see it up close on our daily walks. Earlier it was skunk cabbage. Now foxglove predominates.
First Tomatoes
They’re tiny, dark green, hard to find. But the plants are very healthy and at this rate we’ll be eating fresh tomatoes in June. That’s very early for us.
Frisky, Photogenic Elk
Some early morning visitors romped while I played around with capturing their images. Never ending entertainment.
Hummingbird Feather
Found this on our feeder outside the kitchen window. Using the Moment Macro Lens. Tiny, fascinating.
Sky Show
Saturn, Jupiter, and the moon about an hour before sunrise. Love this time of year.
Essential $%#! Job
Ya gotta love a guy with a really dirty job who has a sense of humor. FYI…we have always practiced social distancing from these guys.
First Family Gathering
First since the pandemic broke out and our family got very sick. Joyce Carol and I have been spared flu-like symptoms. Jesse and family have not. But today we grilled meat, ate things we shouldn’t, and socially distanced. A good day.
